“never be afraid of hard work”

Delia (Nan) Spellman 1916-2007

Thanks for dropping by – what can I tell you about me?

Having had a varied and interesting set of responsibilities over the years I consider myself well placed to adapt and fill a variety of roles.  I have a diverse skill set to offer and have always loved the challenge of not ‘wearing just one hat’ while in my previous jobs.

Where I started

My paid career started at weekends and during school vacations in a small electrical store where I developed appreciation for customer service and care.

Following high-school I moved to work in the after-sales department of start-up automotive main dealership.  There I further developed my soft skills and business knowledge from within both the Parts and Service departments.

Having always had an interest in computers this hobby followed me along my career path, from creating a scrolling computer marquee window display in the electrical store, to computerizing the first dealership’s after sales department bringing efficient and clear customer invoicing together with effective inventory management.

Another influencing factor in my career was while I was an active member of the Irish Red Cross. There I developed confidence in both public speaking and delivering training courses with people across all demographics.  In those years obtained qualifications as a First Aid instructor& CPR trainer and took part in numerous all–Ireland individual and team competitions (winning on a few occasions!).  I also had the opportunity to serve terms on both the county and regional committees in treasury and chairperson roles.

I take great pride in the quality and attention to detail in all the roles I have undertaken and intend to continue delivering in my future roles.
